Jamboree Costs

Navigating the costs for an event like this is tricky, especially when we’re trying to predict expenses almost two years in advance. We have been crunching the numbers to provide the most accurate estimate possible and want to be as transparent as we can about what goes into the final price.

The projected cost for participants and unit leaders is between $6,200 – $6,700.

The cost for our International Service Team (IST) is between $2,900 – $3,100.

What’s Included in the Price?

We have identified three main components that make up about 80% of the total cost:

Jamboree Fee: The fee is 6,400 PLN, which currently translates to about $1,770 USD. This is a significant portion of the cost—almost $800 more than the fee for South Korea in 2023.
Airfare: We will be flying Scouts from all across the country, including major hubs like Boston (BOS), San Francisco (SFO), and Seattle (SEA). Since summer is a peak travel season for Europe, and airfare varies widely depending on the departure city, it’s a big part of the total cost. We’re working to secure a flight portion that’s included in the fee for many major airports.
Pre-Tour: This will be a fantastic 4-5 day tour before the Jamboree. It is a crucial part of the experience, giving everyone a chance to bond and build friendships while exploring incredible cultural sites.

We’re also including these other important items:

Swag and Gear: You’ll get items like a duffle bag, a backpack, neckerchiefs, patches, T-shirts or similar.
Tents & cots: Unlike in South Korea, the Jamboree is not providing tents or cots, so we have included them as part of our package.
Insurance: This is an essential part of making sure everyone is safe and covered during the trip.
Contingency: A small buffer to cover any unexpected costs.

A Note on IST’s Jamboree Fee

The fee for our International Service Team (IST) does not include airfare or the pre-tour, but it does include the other items listed above. IST members will be traveling on their own to arrive on different days, based on their staff assignments.
